Below are the current week tutorials for PSPMadeEZ group members.
The examples and links will be updated here at the end of each week as new postings are added.

*NOTE: This page is updated regularly during our normal season, so if you visit often,
please use your refresh icon, or hit the F5 key.

Please keep in mind our 500KB post size and if your compressed .jpg
is no larger than 410KB (less if using Incredimail), your email will fall within EZ guidelines.

** Many tutorial writers say they never hear from folks who are using and learning from their tutorials, and even more rarely ever get to view results. Please take a moment and write your fantastic tutorial authors. Tell them how you felt about doing their tutorials. If you feel comfortable, send them a copy of your results. You will be pleased that you did! Feedback is always great and it inspires our great tut writers to write more tutorials for us to enjoy. Thank you! **

Introduction to Digital Scrapbooking
by Khiba

*We are going to try something new this week. Look for the very first lesson listed on the page. A great way to get an idea of what a fundamental scrapbook page can be. Keep in mind, scrapping is an expression of yourself; a way to showcase an activity no matter what it is. This is in video form but you have the opporunity to press the "pause" button, if necessary, while you read. There's no music; no talking; just the words. The lesson this week, is to read/view the video, then put together a page like I have above.

Our current size restriction is 500 kb per email and since Yahoo and email clients add their own weight you are advised to keep the original at 410 kb or less.

If you run in to any difficulty, just email me and I'll be glad to help. Be sure to keep the tuber's terms of use in mind while using them.

Tubes of the Week

Here is the link to this week's tubes. Please remember that some of these are larger and will need to be resized to use in your results to keep within the size parameters. Our current size restriction is 500 kb per email and since Yahoo and email clients add their own weight you are advised to keep the original at 410 kb or less. Also, if you are seeing the previous group of tubes, refresh (ctrl+F5) should resolve the problem.

If you run in to any difficulty, just email me and I'll be glad to help. Be sure to keep the tuber's terms of use in mind while using them.

All About Brushes
by Lori Cook

This feature is geared to Beginner members who are still learning the basics of Paint Shop Pro. It's also a great refresher for those who are more advanced in their knowledge or a technique you've missed along the way. Most instructions will be very clear and detailed, but some clarifications may be in the feature email, so please read that to the end.

The quickest and easiest instructions I've found for importing brushes is found in the Help file within PSP....really! So, if you haven't ventured there, here's the "map" to different versions here. After you've checked that out, imported some brushes, then go to Scrap Girls' and go through the tutorial for All About Brushes and make as few or as many different items with your brushes. Above I have done the sculptured, stencil, removed edges, another stencil and then used a brush for the frame. Play around and have some fun.

This tutorial does not require the use of any plug-in filters. Please keep a copy of this email for your reference until you have finished doing the tutorial. When posting simply use either BEG or Beginner in the subject so your mail won't get missed.

Remember, your image should be no larger than 410kb. This will ensure that your email sent to the group will be under the 500kb limit. If you have any questions just let me know and I'll be happy to help you!

Fantasia
by Marijo (translation in Google from French)

The latest tutorial written by Marijo in French. Please use Google Translate to do this tutorial.

NOTES:
1. Move the selection file (kagaline31.PspSelection) to your PSP's Selections folder.
2. Move the gradient file (mijo1.PspGradient) to your PSP's Gradients folder. Please note that this gradient has the colors used to write the tutorial, so you will have to edit it or use one that suits your tubes.
3. Double click on the font file then minimize to your taskbar. You can now use it with PSP. If you are using PSP13 in combination with Windows 7, you will have to copy the font to the Font folder of Windows.
4. Step 12 - the Google translation for the sentence "Select / change the selection layer" should be translated as "Selections / Promote selection to layer".

Remember, your image should be no larger than 410kb. This will ensure that your email sent to the group will be under the 500kb limit.

When you respond with your send to the group, please don't reply but send a new mail to pspmadeez at yahoogroups dot com and include TOF or Tags on Friday in the subject. Please do NOT use asterisks in your subject, as that is reserved for Moderator uses. Thanks!

If you have any questions just let me know and I'll be happy to help you!
